Default Disappointed in shortcut buttons

Am I missing something or do the four assignable buttons on the MBox studio not control anything within Pro Tools, but can only be used with MBOx Control?

Seems really strange to not have it implemented within PT to skip to markers, track mute/solo, zoom in/out, or a million other things.

You are correct, the user action buttons can only be assigned to features of the MBox Studio and does not control any functions of Pro Tools

Indeed, I have a request into Avid for more functionality of those buttons(as well as adding Quick Punch to the footswitch jacks), but it remains to be seen if anything will come of it. Some great ideas that have simply not been followed thru

Avid really put out a gem of an interface, it'd be a shame if they didn't put a little more into it. Not sure that's Avid's thing though. They may be the type to just let it be what it is for as long as they decide to make it. The way they are sorta blowing them out currently at $499 WITH Pro Tools clearly tells us it's not exactly flying off the shelves.
