> 003R down grade to PT 7.4

Just purchased a Digi-003 rack + Factory. . . At this point in time, the computer we need to use it on is a G4 Powerbook. . . and I read PT 8 only works on Intel Macs running Leopard.

How do I get my hands on PT 7.4 + cs updates so I can use the 003R on a Powerbook G4 with either OS X 10.4 or 10.5?

I did a bunch of searches on DUC but didn't come up with anything. Please advise. Thanks!

It doesn't seem to be available at the Digistore.

No PT 7.4 in the package, just PT 8.

I am in Canada. . . by the time I get an eBay order up here it will be well over $100 CAD. 7.4 should be included at no extra cost.

I did put a support request into Digidesign, but I have not heard back. . . Our Digi-002 is old and tired, from years on the road/flying, and this Digi-003r is to replace it for live tracks.

I wonder about authorization of used LE software by itself though... a digi FAQ says:

"If you are selling a used system, you should fill out the seller's portion of the Transfer of Ownership Form and include it with the sale.

The Pro Tools license is included with Pro Tools core hardware systems and cannot be sold separately..."

You can't install only the 003 drivers and use it with whatever version of PT you were using the 002 with?

That is right, "You can't". . . from any reading or installations I have done in the past the driver is installed to allow other applications to interface with the Digi-001 (Logic/Garage Band/Cubase/Itunes).

That's strange. I know I can hook up any LE interface to either of my set ups and away we go.
