LE MIDI Problems

I can't seem to be able to play any plugin instruments with either of my MIDI keyboards even though both keyboards show up on the MIDI input list and I can see MIDI data being recorded to a track. There is just no sounds comming out from the Instrument. I have tried using Sample Tank 2 and Battery 2 and I have this problem with both of them. Any suggestions?

Check MIDI Thru and check that the Audio Input on the Instrument track, if using a Instrument track, is assign to a valid Input.

Thank you, checking the MIDI thru worked. Why did that make it work?

When MIDI Thru is not enabled, Pro Tools' can not communicate with the Controller, nor the MIDI Device, enabling this, results in communication with Controller and Device.
