Default Mac OS crash caused by PT?

I have been having problems with my computer for several months now, and I
have recently done some tests that make me suspect the digidesign hardware.
Here is my system;

Power mac 9600
128 mb RAM
OS 8.6
Digidesign PTIII Core
2 DSP farms
Digi init 5.0
Pt 5.0
DSP manager 1.1
Digitest 3.4
DAE 5.0

I can run sometimes PT5 and Logic 4.2.2 succesfully, but the computer crashes several
times a week but only if I run Logic/DAE/PT.
Sometimes the Mac OS is damaged by the crash and I have to re-install it. The computer reports mostly 'bus error'10 ,but sometimes 12 or 14(when I try to launch PT).Sometimes PT quits and the mac says "The application unexpectedly quit because an error type 2 (or3) occured"
Sometimes logic cannot launch DAE.

The problem is more frequent with PT5 itself, rather than Logic under DAE .
I recently ran
digitest 3.4 which reported a failure on the i/o card (PCI slot 0);

PCI Audio DRAM test (DSP mode, 16 track);DRAM failure
PCI Audio DRAM test (SCSI mono mode, 8 track);DRAM failure

I only get this failure intermittantly, and some times the I/O card and DSP farms all pass.

At the time that I ran the test my usual 9gb glyph drive was connected to
the digidesign SCSI bus, and an 882 i/o interface was connected to the PT
i/o card.The DSP cards both passed.

Could this indicate a problem with my PT core card or perhaps the SCSI connection?
This problem is a nightmare to track down!!

I been having a similar problem but what my tech found out from digi is that if you install the mix pack plug-ins, digi is aware of a bug, and they told us to run virex and we found some "worms". The errors that we had were:
buss error, illigal instruction, error type 10, address error.
Anyway, try it. It might help
