Re: using a wacom-tablet for soundediting in pt
I'm using wacom tablets since protools 5 and the latest version of wacom Intuos pro are fantastic. I use the pen as a mouse en touch the pad with 2 fingers to scroll. Works like a charm. Wacom makes (in my oppinion) very solid products. My first tablet used for more then 10 years only became absolete by mac osx doing.

Re: using a wacom-tablet for soundediting in pt
thanks for your reply johnny,
that sounds very promising. i just wondering if there is any usefull application in pt for wacom parameters like tilt or pressure? guess its not possible do you use the standard pencil that comes withe the tablet or do you use something different? and wich tablet size do you use, and are you happy with that size when working on multiple monitors? |

Re: using a wacom-tablet for soundediting in pt
i first bought the wacom intuos pro m but switched to the smaller unit (s).
its enough space for me. i dont want to move my whole arm to get the cursor from on side to the other side of the screen. and there are cool mapping features on the wacom to compensate that plus you can switch the cursor from one monitor to another by using the toggle display function simply by pressing an button on the wacom . try it and check if it fits your needs… peace Last edited by johannes1; 10-02-2018 at 03:14 PM. |

Re: using a wacom-tablet for soundediting in pt
I've been using a very simple and affordable Intuos Draw for years. Tablet in the middle of my desk, keyboard to the left, Faderport to the right. Wireless mouse somewhere in between, mostly for the scroll wheel.
As an input device in general and specifically for PT I prefer a pen & tablet over a mouse or even a trackball. Then again, a very 'pro' friend of mine tried it but said he couldn't get used to it, another swears by that little Apple Trackpad... T

Re: using a wacom-tablet for soundediting in pt
Thanks guys.
I will try the wacom. Can’t you scroll with the wacom?. It has pen and touch. I was thinking of totally replacing the mouse for all I can. I certainly hope this will alleviate the problems in my right arm and wrist. Now, many times I get my fingers numb, and my whole arm hurts like hell after no more than a couple of hours mixing.
