Default scsi ata100 irq help help help

one of my audio drives went out. so im using my scsi 6g as os and my 30g ata 100 as audio.i will be picking up a ata100 card tomorrow. how should my boot up sequence run.i am not having as much luck as you guys are having with the asus 266e board. even before i install the digi, there are no irqs available which forces didi to share . i disabled everything sugested in the bios with still no luck. when i get the ata card i will put the audio drive on port a and the scsi drive will run off its own card. correct me if wrong. currently only able to get 24 tracks with 3aux. on the 24 tks im using a comp, 4 band eg, short med and long delay. the same used on the aux. or 3 rverbs only.im not at home right now but will post irqs in the morning. by the way using win me. more irqs were available when using 98se, all sugestions appreciated. wlii also download the new patch for the via 266a. alan

Default Re: scsi ata100 irq help help help

Alan,
Switch Digi card to PC slot 4. Then recheck IRQ. If that doesn't put Digi on IRQ 9, then go into bios /Advanced/PCI Config/ and hard force PC slot 4 to IRQ 9. That should do it. You may run into some problems with that SCSI card and the Promise card in that system together at bootup. Best config. for the Promise controller is to have two ATA100 drives 7200rpm, System drive on Port A, Audio on Port B. Are you going to add another controller card? You already have th onboard Promise controllers so you shouldn't need another one. See your manual.
Good luck.
