VENUE Standalone software download

The Standalone software that lets you setup and edit shows is available for download. Of course you can't download the console itself, but the software will give you a good idea of how the system works and it's functional capabilities.

Why does it have to be PC only?!!?!?! Hopefully a Mac version is being developed and will be available sometime this year.

yea, your base is 90% mac digi.

The Venue runs under Windows XP. That's what you should learn on.

The Standalone software is almost identical to the software the console runs. Since it's all built on XP Embedded it will not run on a Mac. While not officially supported, I know of a few people running it on a Mac using Virtual PC and they report few problems (USB disk support may be slow or need to be tweaked.)

I've tried it. It would seem to make more sense if I had a Venue to reference with.
But it is cool and can be a valuable learning tool too.

I wonder what happened to my earlier post though??
When I said it is a biligual world I meant it is to our advantage to learn and have both platforms.

HAHAA I wonder how many show will wind up with the "Blue um 'sound?!?!' of Death" LOL not that smart to run on XP, Being as how I am PAID to fix XP machines and I dont even trust them, matter of fact I administrate a network with my PowerBook. Sorry Digi as much as I love you, XP was not the best choice

matter of fact as i am typing this on my mac the pc machine right next to me just crashed with what else, a blue screen of death
