Default Multiple frame rates

I have a compilation show with segments that were originally at different frame rates. (25, 24 and 23.976)

All the video will obviously be converted to a single frame rate, but (for various reasons) I need to import audio form multiple source PT sessions at multiple frame rates.

What is the best way to do this?
PT2020.5.0 / HDN / HD Omni / MC Control / Intensity Pro / Catalina / 3.7 Quad core Intel Xeon ES (trashcan) MacPro / 12GB RAM
Over 20yrs experience in TV. Currently mainly indie features.

Default Re: Multiple frame rates

You need to know first how the video conversion is going to happen.

I assume your show will be at 25fps (since you're in the UK).
The video segments that are either at 23,98 or 24 need to be frame rate converted somehow. This can be done with a teranex-type box (which preserves original duration) or can be done by conforming (in this case speeding up). In the former case, you can directly import the associated PT session, it will sync fine. In the latter case you will have to use SRC during import (Film to PAL or NTSC to PAL) and Pitch down if desired.
