Adding an “on air” light via ifttt

Hi All,
About to move into a new house and set up the studio. I had this crazy idea that using MMC or another Pro Tools protocol, I could trigger either my Phillips Hue bulbs or a Wemo outlet via something like ifttt. The possibilities are staggering! Use Pro Tools to automatically turn a Hue Bulb yellow when record enabled and red when recording, or, turn on a Wemo outlet hooked up to 120v powered On Air light. Anyone ever do anything like this?

Hey - It's been awhile since this was posted but was wondering if anyone came up with a solution? In my former life, I was a automation controls specialist, so am determined to make this happen - but more for putting the Philips Hue Signe Stick - or even LED Strips around the studio door to warn folks not to enter during a session. IFTTT Will integrate with Hue Bridge - but need figure out how to create the hook from ProTools to IFTTT. I'll keep digging to see if there's a serial trigger or something but I appreciate any input!
