Default guitar editing click

Hi guys

I have just started to record guitars.
At a couple of points I hear a click.
Sometimes when I re-record from that edit point the click volume changes.
I know that a cross fade will fix the problem but some of my edits have no click meaning that there is a way of having a seamless edit.

What am I doing right/wrong?

Thanks for reading

Duane

Im not sure unless i hear it but it may be that some of the edit points are where/when the guitarist is picking, try moving your edits a few milliseconds either way and see if that helps.

If not, zoom in as close as you can to the click and cut it out, leaving silence, then cross fade with the silence in the middle.

Like i said, without hearing it i cant be sure, but it might work.

Thanks guys. The thing is there is no click showing up on the waveform. It is just when the curser passes the edit point there is a pop.
And I am using slip mode.
I've tried to move the edit point but that didn't work. I know what you mean though.
I'll just re-record the whole take. This is the first pop i've encountered in editing at the moment.....I'm sure there will be more!!

Thanks again

Duane
