Any other details you could give, most important is the amount of RAM allocated to PT and the buffer sizes, playback engine etc....

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best Regards,

Thanks.

10.8.5 is the last ML update AFAIK. I need to run PT 10, so I can move to Mavericks.

There is 32BG of RAM in the machine.

512 is my usual buffer size.

Quite a bummer to see that this hasn't changed in PT11.

The only way I can ever use it is to audio-suite and de-activate it as soon as possible. The longer the plugin is active the closer you get to a crash.

Under PT10 you can literally watch the plugin fill up the memory just while PT sits there. Is that still the case under 11?

A general note about Flux: They used to randomly rename their plugin instances just randomly from one update to the next so PT thinks it's an entirely different plugin breaking backwards compatibility. Do they still do this? I stopped using them for this reason at some point because a colleague warned me about this.

Thanks,

Frank.
Hi Frank!
Thanks for the confirmation. Unfortunately, I have read similar things fomr other users. When I first purchased the plugin I emailed support several times about it. I got one response that they would look into it, but since it was a newer version and Pro Tools 11, they thought that it would be addressed in a future update. Then I got radio silence......

It is just as unusable for me in PT10. I end up designing with it, then have to print my work and disable the plugin.

I haven't seen any renaming yet.

Tom

Funny, I seem to be the only one suffering from the insane renaming Flux did with Elixir. Every year the plug-in name changes and I loose the ability to open older sessions properly.

Here is the naming scheme:

Name Installer Date

Elixir.dpm 2.3.3 2011-12-13

_ElixirV3.aaxplugin 3.0.19 2013-2-4
_Elixir.dpm

ElixirV3-X86.aaxplugin 3.2.2 2014-2-20

ElixirV3-x86.aaxplugin 3.2.9 2014-3-28

Flux seems to be completely unaware of real-life problems, like what happens, when the plugin name changes and the plugin is disabled during opening and you loose all automation you did previously. Meanwhile I write all parameters in the preset name and don't dare to automate it, as I have zero trust in this company's commonsense. Sadly, because the plugin is working fine and sounds good.

I'm having problems with the free plugins, Stereo Tool and Bittersweet. They won't install. Keep coming up with an error that say there is a bad cabinet file and that the installer might be corrupted. Have tried to download them several different times all with the same results.

I have Elixir, but am frustrated that visual updating on the plugin is virtually nonexistent. That is, gain reduction doesnt show up even if it's happening, While my other plugs, e.g. FabFilter, McDSP, etc, behave correctly. Support has been very minimal, and now I don't use the plug in

OS 10.8.5, PT 11, HDX, Mac Pro 2009 Nehalem 8 core, 24 gig ram.

I used a lot of Flux plugins, mainly Epure TDM, Elixir, Solera and Verb on ProTools 10. Now I use 11HDN and I upgraded to Flux V3 native and I can't use Epure any longer since it crashes ProTools when you change plugin windows.
Is anyone using Epure in PT 11HD?

I had/have issues with opening presets in V3 that were made with the TDM version...

The gain reduction meters for Elixir and Solera are not working and if you're using a controller Solera doesn't show up in the "Dyn" section...
