Default Single button switches Mix to edit window?

I have a plain Microsoft 500 wired keyboard. To make this work I had to download Micorsoft Intelitouch 7.1 this was due to my having a PS/2 mouse ( i have a long run from my desktop to the computer) you might be able to get this to work with the latest intelitouch if you have a USB keyboard. This makes a single monitor much more useful!
So my Email key is now my switch from the Mix screen to my Edit Screen. I will try later to make a transport key and what ever else comes up!

cntrl+= is too many moves for me

I have the classic microsoft mouse. Roller button thing in the middle and 2 buttons on either side. I will try to do the same thing for my mouse!

Get the Microsoft IntelliMouse 3.0 (NOT the 4.0 Platinum) or the newer Microsoft Comfort Mouse 6000 and install the driver. They allow you to program all 5 buttons on the mouse and have different functions for the buttons in different programs. Here's how mine is programmed for Pro Tools:

Left Click = Left Click

Right Click = "B" (Separate at Cursor in Commands Focus Mode)

Scroll Wheel Button = Ctrl+B ("Clear", in Windows it's not possible to have Delete on the Scroll Wheel Button work in Pro Tools. The nice thing is when it's time to Bounce, holding down the Alt key and the Scroll Wheel Button brings up the Bounce Dialogue, "Ctrl+Alt+B")

Large Thumb Button = Num Pad "+" (Nudge Right)

Small Thumb Button = Num Pad "-" (Nudge Left)

Since I've given up the Right Click and Right Click+Ctrl functions which open up various Right Click Menus, I've programmed a button on my MS Digital Media 3000 keyboard to function as the normal Right Click.

Cheers,
