Default Export Midi problem in pro tools 8.04

I've been using Pro tools LE since 6.8 and never seen this issue before. Just upgraded to 8.04 and noticed this problem for the first time. A quick search turned up with nothing , so hopefully someone could help me out with this.

Basically, when I try to Export the midi session , the Task Manager window pops up and it reads: "Synchronizing fgh.mid". And it stays like that forever. If I want to close the session 10 minutes later, it says " there are some incomplete tasks. Quit anyway? " The midi file gets exported, but it's unreadable.

This process used to take me less than 3 seconds. i would simply export the midi file and load it into my Korg keyboard. Now, the same keyboard can't read the file. Obviously, it has to do with the way pro tools is acting up.....

I'm still using my PC turnkey system which runs on windows XP service pack 3. I don't have any other problem with it...Could this be a bug?

Did you install Pro Tools 8.0.x on a fresh Windows XP partition?

Did I install it on a fresh partition? No, I didn't make a new partition or anything like that. Just installed it in the same location as where the original pro tools 6.9 ...7....and now pro tools 8 was installed.
I've been fooling with this all day, and it really pisses me off. Every time I want to export the midi, the task manager window pops up. I'm totally out of ideas at this point. This was never reported before?

I would recommend you install a fresh Window XP to a newly formatted partition drive and install Pro Tools 8.
