The only thing you can do is make sure you're running at the resolution your monitor was made for... and that's it.

I have similar problems too - I hate the new tendency to make plugins with HUGE panels. I remember when most plugins were like Waves REnComp - small, square, and tweakable.

Now even POD Farm wastes 70% of the interface real estate with a fancy wood floor that doesn't help me dial in my sound at all!!!
And Amplitube 2 uses half of the interface to show photoshop-drawn glowing tubes inside the amp. WHO CARES! lol

I've done a lot of interface design, and I think it's ridiculous that the designers who work for plug-in makers can't just SQUEEZE the thing a little more....:/ so annoying.
Make it look nice, AFTER you make it functional and practical.
You're not painting a van gogh nor creating a computer game, you're creating a professional audio plug in interface, damn it!

Thanks for your answer, im on the next resolution below the highest availble just because the highest cuts in between the apple icon on far left and search icon on far right, the resolution im at makes everything look normal same size everything when compared to my laptop, only diff is plug in sizes i just tested out every resolution option listed everything changed except the size of the plug in open

We need an option to control size of plug ins, i know what you mean by things like tubes taking up space, i didnt mind when they were normal size on my windows machine nice graphics and interface nice function and....NICE SIZE !

I may be missing somemthing else that i should be doing any one else spare some though ?

Thanks

Question Re: Plug In Windows Very Big

Did you trash your prefs? I have never seen oversized plugins before. What OS version are you on? What is the exact resolution you are running? Also, are your plugins up to date and on the compatibility list? Is it only certain plugins doing it. Maybe a simple update could clear it up.

iMacs normally run at the highest resolution natively. So if you're bringing that down that is likely what is causing this issue.

Make sure you're using the highest resolution in your Apple system preferences > Display Preferences.

To me it doesn't seem possible that the plug-in window isn't changing sizes when you switch resolutions. I cant get my head around that one... it simply has to. The iMac should be changing the size of everything up and down on the screen, not selectively choosing applications or certain windows.

And make sure you're not using the BX Digital plug-in! If you've seen that beast, you know what I'm talking about.
Lastly, maybe you should trash your preferences. Yup. This is almost definitely a prefs trashing issue!

The world economy is collapsing. Maybe someone should try to trash the world preferences.
