Avid Virtual Instruments iLok authorization
Hello all,
I purchased the PT10 crossgrade from 8 LE some times ago. Yesterday I installed the PT 10.3 update and Virtual Instruments 10.3, but when I launch the application it asks me for some plugin iLok authorization(Classic Compressor bundle, etc...). I thought that they were included for free... Is this normal?

Check your iLok licenses for them. Make sure you have the latest update in your iLok. If they are in your iLok they should be working in 10.3.

You accidentally installed plugins that are separately purchased and do not come with Protools, including Classic Compressors bundle. Avid includes these installers as a convenience. You'll need to move them to the unused plugins folder. The Avid Virtual instruments installer should include the free ones like Mini-Grand, Xpand 2, etc. There are also separately purchased ones like Strike, Velvet, Hybrid, etc.
