Waveburner is working well now and is a lot more versatile, but for down and dirty Toast is fine.

Apple Waveburner Pro,
Works with all sample rates, AIFF, WAV, SDII, etc.
Interleaved or Split stereo
Plug-ins on individual regions and Mix output
Saves individual and plug-in chains
Crossfades, fade-in and out all in realtime.
Works with AU plug-in format so all the Logic & Waves Masters plug-ins work includding L3.

WaveLab is great but you need a PC for it. I have my Mac and PC networked, which allows me to transfer the stereo files from my MAC (HD System) to my PC. This allows me to work on my PC while waiting for ProTools to Bounce to disk etc. . . A pretty decent PC is around $700 these days and you can share monitors with KVM or switch between inputs on certain LCDs (my Dells have DVI and VGA).

Wavelab has two different modes of creating a CD. The Montage method has a lot of power, allowing overlap of songs, multiple stereo tracks for special transitions, supports CD Text and ISRC Codes.

On another topic. . . man do I wish PT could be scripted to do multiple bounce to disk. I have 2 nights of live material in a session (300 + Minutes) and I need to dump each segment to separate mp3s for bandmember review view ftp posting. Easy enough to put all the markers in place, wish I could script Bounce To Disk by naming a series of start/end markers etc. . . This is not the first time I have had to do this for a project. I like it much better when my computer works while I sleep, rather than with me watching it.
