digi coreaudio
Hi all,
I just tried every single version of digi coreaudio on a Mac G4 OSX 10.3.5, PT 6.4.1, Mix3, 882/20, LogicPro 7.1. It does not work. When I do not start digi coreaudio before Logic, Logic will switch to the internal coreaudio as it apparently cannot address the digi coreaudio. When I start digi coreaudio before Logic I get a continued warning indicating a timing problem and the Logic sequencer simply will not run. Any suggestions? All help greatly appreciated. Cheers, Bob. |

Re: digi coreaudio
Why do you want to use the Digi Core Audio driver in Logic when you have a Mix system?

Re: digi coreaudio
Thanks for your reply Peter,
I thought it would be possible to run both in Logic 7. That would give me some tracks with PT plugins and others with Logic softsynths and/or plugins. Do I see this wrong? Cheers, Bob. |

Re: digi coreaudio
Hi,
You can't have PT plugins and run digi coreaudio together! you can run Logic under DAE audio engine to use the TDM plugs and also run ESB (emagic system bridge) to give you the logic plugins and instruments on a seperate audio mixer that will then be routed to the DAE/TDM mixer!! Chris

Re: digi coreaudio
Thanks crizdee, then I must be reading the Logic 7 manual quite incorrectly. Mind you, I am again new to Logic, haven't touched it for 5 years, always worked with PT, so I may very well be wrong, but the manual is confusing on this point. Maybe you can use DAE and coreaudio together but on separate hardware. I would already be happy if there was a way to simply use my 882/20 with digicoreaudio as a coreaudio interface and forget about DAE. I have another machine for PT. Is that possible?
Cheers, Bob. |
