Inconsistent midi trigger latency:PTX, SSD4 and UA
Inconsistent midi trigger latency:PTX, SSD4 and UA
I have an inconsistent midi triggering latency problem. I run an 09 imac i5, 2.6 with 16 g of memory , apollo quad and 2 owc mercury elit pro hards drives : 1 for sessions , the other for VI /samples. I run PTX lion , essentialy when playing my yamaha dtx drums through a midi to usb converter normally there is no discernable latency : you hear the sample triggered Eas you strike the pad. I can save this session then reopen change nothing and play the drums and have enough latency that you can't play in time. Interestingly if i open one of this session's backup files. I can trigger drums fine but not in the actual session ? So I have changed no setttings just saved and opened the same session and experience different latencies when triggering/striking the drums ? Any ideas why this is occuring ? Thx ! Kcat |
