Default PT8 Graphical Bug

Nothing huge but here it is:

When opening the Edit Window view tab, there are two different colored option boxes that open depending on the placement of my edit window.

The normal look.

Now with the edit window moved slightly to the left so that the edge of the window goes behind the screen.

EDIT: This is also true to all boxes that would open around that edge including the Ruler Views and Sample/Tick display boxes

Thanks! I'm looking forward to the next update. There are lots of stuff I'm hoping will be fixed/improved.
  • I'm still waiting for the horizontal scrolling to be normal. How come the mac users have normal horizontal scrolling while us PC guys have to sprain our fingers to navigate??? I mean, it only took Shane a day and a half before he came up with a temporary fix (thanks again for that Shane).
  • The vertical scrolling with tracks locking to the top of the edit window is still a pain in the rear. 64 mini tracks take forever to scroll to the bottom! Plus, I edit a lot of dialogue with jumbo or extreme track heights. If I have one of these tracks at the top and I accidentaly bump my scroll wheel, my track disappears and I have to find it again.
  • Classic view!!! Classic view!!! Classic view!!!!
  • I would love to see a photo negative effect on my automation graphs when I make a selection across a track. I like the dark look, but there are times when enough is enough.

Who's with me on these?

You can make the screen lighter or darker with the color pallet. If that's what you are looking for.

I’d be happy with the first two.

But if it’s offered I’ll take it all.

Not exactly.

Open a session in PT 7.x, then open the tracks volume graph and make a selection over it. Then try the same thing but open the session in PT 8. You'll see a big difference, especially with audio behind it. It makes it really tough sometimes to pinpoint where those breakpoints are.

I almost forgot to mention that I went back to using 7.4 again, for now.
