Default Artist Mix, real time fader levels for aux tracks

Hi, i've recently started using an artist mix controller so i am still pretty new with it. One thing i noticed is that when i am adjusting an aux track(fader level), i don't get any real time level numbers like when on a normal track. also when i release the fader it does this strange jump to somewhere else and then back to where i left it. Is this normal behaviour?
I could be mistaken but i don't recall this happening on protools 10.1. (i just recently updated to 10.2).
Any help or clarification would be mucky appreciated. Thanks,
- Grant.

Hmm, power cycling the unit seems to have solved the problem... odd.
