Default Multi Mono Plugin Problem

Hello

I use the SONNOX multi mono dynamics plug-ins on LCRS channels. When opening windows for these plug-in's they always default to metering the Left channel of the plug-in.

This is annoying when one has a mostly centre signal on the plug-in since Centre has to be selected in the plug-in window before metering for the centre signal can be viewed.

Could a tick box be added to preferences offering something like: " Plug-in view remains as last selected, when plug-in window is closed and re-opened"

Best Wishes

Hugh

Go to the drop down menu which will say (factory default), at the bottom will be Settings Preferences. Set up the plug-in as you want it and name it using "save settings as" and set this as user default under Settings Preferences.

It is a not bug, it is normal.

Thanks very much for the suggestion Roy, unfortunatly the user settings do not seem to influence the way Pro Tools opens the window. Whatever I do, the window always opens with the Left metering selected

Are you saying the plug-in ignores the "set plug-in default to" command? I have never had that problem. Maybe you need to trash your preferences folders and digidesign databases from your drives. This process clears a lot of strange problems for me when nothing makes sense.

No, not at all.

The Plugin opens with the settings I have saved when user settings are set as default. But the metering condition (ie does the Plugin open with the L C R or S meter on display)does not change and I assume is not regarded as part of the saveable user set up.

In other words, whatever user settings the Plugin has been set to open with, the metering will always revert to Left if the window is closed and re opened.

Having talked to HHB in the UK, who supplied my SONNOX plugins, I understand this to be an expected Protools feature. Hence my initial request for a tick box in Protools preferences for the option for the behaviour to be selectable.

I'm not sure if DigiDesign personnel view much of the stuff in this list, if they do it would be great to have a response, if not could Roy, or anyone else here, suggest the best way to "get the message" to DigiDesign?

Best Wishes

Hugh
