Steven Slate Drum 4.0 EZ Beginner Question...

So, basic sampling question: PTHD....I've had Slate's Trigger for years and I trigger drum samples all the time but I do it either via midi or importing samples into Slate's Trigger program. How would I use the Steven Slate Drums 4.0?

Do I import those samples into Trigger and proceed like I normally would?
Do I convert drum audio tracks to midi and open up the Steven Slate Drums 4.0
on that track as an RTAS plug? I'm not looking to trigger the samples with an electronic kit.
