Plugin not working properly in DSP mode

Hi guys.
When I arm rec my track automatically goes to DSP mode. But when I insert any plugin it doesn't work properly. I have to disable DSP and re-enable to have the plugin working.
Is this meant to be like this?

Hello,

Can you explain what you mean by not working properly? Which plugins are affected? Which version of Pro Tools?

Native-only plugins will be automatically bypassed for tracks in DSP Mode as DSP Mode require DSP plugins for processing. However, it doesn't sound like you're running into this if disabling/enabling the plugin resolves the problem.

I think I found the problem (not the solution )
I tried some other DSP plugins and all of them worked properly, I could hear the effects when changing its controls.
When I open one of my Default EQ or Dyn they doesn't work. I had to disable the DSP icon and re-enable it have them working.
As I said before this just happens with Default EQ and Dyn, any other DSP plugin (I use Avid and Plugin Alliance) works well.

I'm using the latest version of Pro Tools Ultimate 2021.12.

Ok, thanks for the info. What are your Default EQ and DYN plugins? Which version of macOS are you using?

They were (I removed them from default and they're working well): Avid Channel Strip and Purple Audio MC77. I'm using Catalina 10.15.7

Thanks. Can you successfully instantiate Avid Channel Strip and Purple Audio MC77 when they are not the default EQ and DYN plugins?

Just a note, I have the PT EQ III and the PT Fairchild 660 (mono) set up as my defaults and they work fine ???????? What I have noticed is I can't set the Fairchild 670 (stereo ) as the default, the 660 is the only one showing in dropdown for Dynamics ???
