The AD9200A 8-Channel Analog to Digital Converter from Genelec is a rackmount converter that translates an analog audio input signal into a digital output signal. This allows you to use the 7200 series DSP subwoofers with analog signal sources.
The unit has a 25-pin DB25 connector that accepts up to 8 channels of analog audio. The connector is wired with a standard Tascam/ProTools pinout for wide compatibility. The converter has 4 XLR output connectors, each of which carries 2 channels of AES/EBU digital audio. The digital audio is in AES3 format with a 24-bit word length and a 192kHz sample rate to deliver professional-quality results, consistent with the audio from Genelec's 8200 series DSP products. The converter operates via an external 12VDC power supply. Converts an analog audio input signal into a digital output signal.
