I'm also imagining that all the original fades are lost and would have to be manually reproduced.

Yes, unfortunaltely you'd have to recreate all the fades.

Also try using Data Rescue to recover the original deleted session file (or one of the backups) (if it's not too late).

I do believe the playlist data may be somewhere inside the session file still and I'm playing around to see if there's any trick to recover it.

I just found out that I can get the originals from a Retrospect backup made a couple of days ago. Thanks for your concern/sympathy.

Glad to hear that.

I'm sure this bug will be addressed ASAP.. in the mean time select to copy the fades when using the Save Session Copy In... function.
