Confusion on connecting MBox2 to Studio Monitors

I have spent all day reading and I am getting all kinds of mixed information.

I have the MBox 2 and I just ordered a pair of KRK Roket8 monitors.
I am asking what the *best* way to connect the Mbox to the monitors is.

I am completely confused as I am getting mixed information. For example, using the 1/4" outputs I have read to use Balanced, Unbalanced and also that it does not matter. Is using 1/4" the preferred method? If so, exactly what type of cables do I need. I'm much concerned about quality of the sound than I am how expensive the solution is. I would like the "best" way!

There is balanced 1/4 cable, which is the same as xlr, and there's unbalanced 1/4 which is used for hooking up a guitar to an amp, etc.

You want balanced 1/4.

For great quality, get 2 of these (either 10 or 20 feet) and you'll be good to go:

Of course the XLR end goes to the speakers.
