N00b question: Send me the session

Hi,
I recently worked with a studio abroad and after we finished they asked me if I wanted them to send me the session or just the audio file.
How is that done? Is that a file transfer like a regular ftp? I mean, I can download the session and put it on my hard drive and open it?

Does it works with every version of PT? I mean I'm on PTLE on mac; can I open a TDM or HD session from windows? Am I going to loose data in the process?

Can I do the same? Put a session I'm working on on my ftp and "send" it to someone else?

Yes... U will lose plug ins IF they put them on there but most times, if they mixed it, they won't send u all that, but just the Master session... Nevertheless, Yes to all u asked pretty much...
