Default Mapping Oxygen 49 knobs to plugin params?

Anyone know if I can do this? PT leads me to believe I can. I have an M-Audio Oxygen 49 keyboard controller with knobs and faders etc. I have "M-Audio keyboard" selected as a peripheral in preferences and to the proper midi ins and outs. When I activate that the "Mapping" options become available in all my plugins. But trying Midi learn etc with the Oxygen results in nothing. Any tips?

Default Re: Mapping Oxygen 49 knobs to plugin params?

peripheral is for the mixing and transport communication.
Limited direct control mapping. (Useless)
Midi learn for only midi/instrument tracks and works well.
I too have had no success with O-49 as peripheral for audio plug-in's (Preset 10)
Seems to only address pan and vol faders and or knobs.
