Exclamation Installation FAIL

I am trying to install Pro Tools LE 8 for my 003+ rack and every time i get the same error message:

Feature Transfer Error
Component: Controllers - Common
File: D:\Pro Tools LE Installer\data2.cab
Error: Data Error (Cyclical Redundancy Check)

I'm running Windows vista home premium on an HP m7763w, 2.4 ghz, with 4gb ram.

I tried copying to my desktop, but it gets to the same spot in installation and asks me to specify where the data2.cab file is, but no matter what I choose, nothing works.
I also heard copying it to a thumb drive works, but that didn't either.

I'm completely lost and frustrated that the installation process is taking over 6 hours... please help!

Welcome to the forum. This is an indicator of a bad DVD. I would try the download version that you can get from your MyDigi account if you have everything registered.

Everything is registered, but I can't find anything under my digi about any sort of download besides the third party content.

You'll have to contact tech support.

OR...try it in another drive and transfer the files to your HD via network, flash drive, DVD-R...

Digi CS explained recently... you don't automatically have a download link when you have purchased/registered a hardcopy product. They will add a link though in this situation.
FWIW, that is the same place (data2.cab) many of us have stumbled.
I was able to extract the disc completely on a different system/dvd drive.
Might give that a try until they are able to answer your request.

We sent (via DigiDelivery) the LE installer just after you posted this. Did you check the email account you used to register on the DUC?

Thanks for all the help everybody. I just downloaded Digidelivery, but I didn't receive an email yet. I'll keep an eye out for it though. Thanks again

It was sent a few minutes after your first post. Please check the email address in your profile to make sure it's correct. We'll resend the DD in about an hour.
