When I buy HD IO, I got a Loop sync clock cable, can I use this one for world clock?

When I buy HD IO, I got a cable(just like world clock cable), I guess that's Loop sync clock cable, can I use this one for world clock? Any potential problems?

Are you sure? I thought loop sync was 1x (although I don't have any references handy). I was fairly sure 256x (as an external clock, that is) died with MIX.
