2018.4 auto-switching keyboard language?

Avid told me to delete the system preference file found in the preference folder. then select languages you need. this works.

!! Dont forget to uncheck in the keybords control panel something like "autoswitch language" I forgot the right name..!! I am not at studio)



Then everything should work well.



But unfortunately the system seems to switch back after a restart or after several days. Then you have to go to the same procedure.

The problem was solved by trashing
/Library/Preferences/com.apple.HIToolbox.plist
/user/Library/Preferences/com.apple.HIToolbox.plist
keeping only my language in the keyboard preferences (not sure it was necassary) and restarting.

If you delete these plists, they get rebuilt on restart (and they re-detect the attached keyboard). It stores the local input information including localization (language)

I know but, nevertheless, it works so far ! Maybe those files were corrupted ?
But your mention of the "attached keyboard" is an interesting lead, as the problem occurred on my laptop but not on my Mac Pro...
