Default Please Advise are Pro Tools M-Powered Essential the same as LE M-Powered?

I was going to buy the Fast Track - Record Guitar and Vocals on Your Computer
I wanted to know if there is a difference between the Pro Tools LE M-Powered software and Pro Tools® M-Powered™ Essential.. Please advise

Most definitely.

PTMP Essential has some extreme limitations:
  • only 16 tracks, mono or stereo
  • only 8 virtual instrument tracks
  • only 8 MIDI tracks
  • limited plugins included
  • only includes Sans-Amp for guitar processing/modelling
  • no separate MIDI editor
  • no score editor
  • Limited automation capabilities
  • can not be expanded until you upgrade to the full version M-Powered

PTMP Essential is a good way to get your feet wet using Pro Tools, and it's great that it comes bundled, but it will probably leave you wanting more.

You would have to purchase the full version of Pro Tools MPowered. After that, you could purchase whatever expansions and toolkits that MPowered supports.

Be aware that MPowered does not support the DVToolkit nor the Complete Production Toolkit, so you will ultimately not be able to upgrade to the features provided by those toolkits as you would if you were using Pro Tools LE.

M-Audio hardware works with PT M-Powered not PTLE.
