Closing one session crashes PT every time

Every time I try to close one session PT will crash. Did a save copy in but new session does the same. Deleted pref's etc with no luck. This is on my HD system. What can I do?

Have you tried creating a new session and using "import session data" to import all the tracks? SB

Now did try this and tracks are all over the place at wrong positions + the new session crashes pro tools when closing exactly the same

Load the session then disable all plugins and try and close it! does it still crash PT?

Most likely cause is are old friend "the plugin"
But which one? you'll have to start removing plugs from the folder till you find the one.

will try that, just started going thru session file backup folder to see if any will close properly. plugs are all the same for several sessions from the album I'm working on tough.. no problems so far... damn this sucks... 2.5 hours lost and counting

Had this a while back with Massey tools!

had massey talkback on the session so I threw it out. now it opened and when I hit play all audio was "gone". I see the regions but no sound or meter action. still did not close properly.. will try to remove all plugs..

disabling all plugs did not help (inside session). session opens fine and plays fine. when closing I can hear action going on with the hard drive for several seconds and then kaboom "PT closed unexpectedly" other similar sessions with same plugs and tracks will take 0.5 seconds to close... will try to remove plugins from plugins folder to see if that helps

removed all plugs except stereo mixer and still the same problem so plugs are good. I guess audio file is bad... this is a tracking session with many unused and alternate playlists so removing unused is nothing I would love to do but as I have a copy I will try to remove and compact

removing unused audio and compacting did not help either. I am officially out of ideas!
