Default Midi Export -> "Apply Real Time Properties" Question

Hi there.

I am trying to understand the significance of selecting "Apply Real Time Properties" when exporting a midi file.

Do I need to select this when exporting a midi?

What value does it add to the final performance of the midi file?

When I export a midi with this selected - it seems that the "midi mix" is different that the original "midi mix" within PT 10

Thanks for any help in understanding this...

In a MIDI Editor window, right click and you see the MIDI Real-Time option (Chapter 31 in my PT reference guide).
If you make active one of those, it applies when playbacking your session (as a playback option it doesn't apply to your MIDI edition, unless you press "write to track").

If you export your MIDI file selecting "Apply Real-Time Properties" it will write these options in you exported midi file (that's why it sounds different than what you see "painted" in your MIDI track).
