Structure LE and Structure Full Question

I just got the PTIEP.
I have sessions with Structure LE on them.
Can Structure Full and Structure LE coexist within Pro Tools
Or
Do I have to uninstall Structure LE?

Good question, I'm assuming that when installing Creative Collection ( Structure Free) a dialog stating a higher edition of Structure already exists. In other words, Structure would replace Structure LE. That a side, Structure LE Plug-In settings and Patch will open with Structure.

Indeed.

There's no reason to have both because full Structure does everything LE can. In the same way that Xpand2 replaces its predecessor.

But... The reason I ask is because I have personal unfinished pieces of music using Structure LE. In these sessions Structure LE is set up and tweaked specifically for that song in its session.

To go through every session and recreate the settings that I used in Structure LE would a serious undertaking.

Is this making sense to anyone?

Full blown Structure should load your settings exact. Structure LE would not be able to load all of the parameters of the full blown version. You should be fine.

If I am understanding you correctly when I install Structure Full it will replace Structure LE. And when I open up a session that had Structure LE in it. All the settings from Structure LE will populate within Structure Full in that session?

I just do not think trust AVID and Structure Full to that intelligent.
If someone can confirm the above that would be swell.

But until then Russ gave me a viable workaround.

Go to your plug in folder.

Create a new folder called 'old structure'

Drag the LE version into that folder.

If you ever need to use LE again simply swap the LE version in the folder with the full one.

I trust it just fine... Mostly because all sessions with Xpand migrated to Xpand2 perfectly for me. Never had to pick new sounds or change any settings. Why should it be any different for Structure?

Of course, it never hurts to be prepared, but plugins get updated all the time and I've never lost anything due to it. Session specific plugin settings are always retained with sessions, not the plugin itself.
