Default Upgrading from 7.4.2 question

I have a free upgrade to Pro Tools 8. I currently have 7.4.2 LE on a macbook pro (mac OS 10.6.3).

I eventually will get to 8.0.3 from 7.4.2 . On my available downloads, Avid gave me installers for both 8.0 and 8.0.3. Can I go directly to 8.0.3 and use that (bypassing 8.0 installer), OR do I have to use 8.0 installer and then 8.0.3? The installers are similar in size (4+ gigs).

Any other non-obvious "gotchas" I need to be sure and accomplish will help.

Pro Tools 8.0.3 is an Updater requiring Pro Tools 8 to be installed first.

Default Re: Upgrading from 7.4.2 question

I thought that at first until I look closely at the download files they included in my account:
"Pro Tools LE 8.0 Full Installer (Mac OS 10.5 for PowerPC & Intel) supports LE interfaces including original Mbox 4152.55 MB Download ›"

and

"Pro Tools LE 8.0.3 Full Installer (Mac OS 10.5/10.6 for Intel) does not support original Mbox or PowerPC 4793.4 MB Download ›"

Should I still assume that 8.0.3 shown above is an updater only requiring 8.0 first? Thanks. (I did send a support email case question, but the last reply took 7 days).

Pro Tools 8.0.3 contains the updater for the Pro Tools 8 Creative Collection. If it says Full Installer then run the 8.0.3 installer.
