What EQ are you using? That's REALLY important.

Adding 12kHz-20kHz a bit can add Air to the audio. Try this: Put the gain of one band of Parametric EQ all the way up and set the Q in the middle. Try moving the Frequency around until you get the un-muffled sound you want and lower the gain and change the Q to fine tune the sound.

Well, it is hard to say exactly what freq you need to add or carve.
But for starters;
If your voice sounds muddy try two things.
1. cut a little at or near 200Hz.
2. boost at or near 2.5kHz to 3.5kHz (narrow q)find the sweet spot(presence)

You can add air 15kHz+
Add fullness around 120Hz
Eliminate honky between 300Hz to 900Hz.
DeEss as needed.

These are just starting points.
Find the sweet spot and bring it out.

Try some compression before the EQ too - that can help add presence and sparkle, especially if its BEFORE the EQ, so any extra muddiness cwill go away.

Try Rennaisance compressor: ratio = 2:1 with maximum gain reduction around -3db to start. If that's too much try lowering the ratio closer to 1.5:1 while still aboserving -2db of gain reduction.

Step away from the microphone. Seriously. Move back a bit. A lot of boominess is added as you get closer to the Microphone (proximity effect). Your choice of Microphones could be an issue as well.
