Default Simple question from a simple mind.

Are the choices that are listed on the Setup> Preferences page meant to remain with the original settings that are entered when PT's software is loaded? (My PT's was set up by Sweetwater, settings and all), or do you change settings as needed according to the particular work phase ? Are there standard settings for various phases of a session that can be saved and recalled depending on which phase of a session one might be in? (I think it would be very time consuming if you had to manually reset every item in Preferences each time). i realize the answer to my question may be obvious to most on the forum but, I am not your usual mentally well equiped PT's user. Thanks to anyone who can straighten me out on this.

Yes, you can change them as needed. Some of them are set as defaults in the software (it may or may not have been Sweetwater), but you may find you need to change them for different situations.

Some suggestions for you to consider;
Set record allocation to 15 minutes(unless you work on long pieces of audio, like for live shows)
Set Auto Save for 2 or even 1 minute if you do tons of editing
Select a default EQ and Compressor plugin from whatever choices you have(EQ III and BF76 work pretty well)
