Default Interleaved check box

What is the Interleaved check box for on the quick start dialogue box in PT 12?

The only thing I can find that it affects is the output format selection when you go to bounce. Is that it? Seems a bit unnecessary, as that can be edited anyway.

Default Re: Interleaved check box

It affects importing/creating files, and you can enable/disable any time in Setup > Session.

"When this option is enabled, all newly recorded or imported (and converted) stereo or greater-than-stereo multichannel files in the session will be interleaved audio files."

See pg 152 in the Ref Guide for more info.
