Hey Ryan,

Is there anything new you could tell us? Are you going to work on the S3L?

As said before, my protools upgrade plan runs out end of this month and without further development for the S3L i don't need protools anymore. So there is a direct link between me spending money on an avid product and a possible future for the S3L.
And I know I am not the only one

Hey Ryan,

Please sign me up for Beta-Testing!

Here is what I need:

1) Mono Bus linking capability (in order to use stereo plugins on masters)
2) iPad Remote
3) more DSP power for plugins!
4) 96kHz, if channel count deprivation is selectable or better, nonexistent!
5) selectable screen resolution

Best regards,

Börje

Default S3L - The early death of a sweet console and what could follow?

1: iPad app
2: Allow us to use the rest of the dsp, make it a choice between 96k less dsp for plugs and 48k more dsp for plugs
3: scope individual aux sends instead of groups of aux sends
4: group linking for using stereo plugs
5: use AVB as insert
6: make stereo aux a single rotary/fader like input stereo channels

That's my wish list.

It's a very good product the S3L. It is sad the competition runs ahead with these "small" things. Really hope it won't be discontinued.

1- Ipad App
2- AVB Inserts
3- 96K

And i am up to be part of any beta testing on the S3L-X Venue if needed as i tour with and do all my live shows with it. I record/playback via AVB every shows in ProTools to perform virtual soundchecks.

AVB inserts is a really fun one, I've been experimenting on that with S6L, it opens up whole worlds... I'd like to see this too.

Ryan, please consider not to go larger than 1920 x 1080 with the software resolution on S3L, using the giant screens you guys use with S6L's is not an option for us S3L users, at least not for the people I know.

of course, that said I'm using a 13" GeChic touch screen right now on my S3L in rehearsals, and it's actually capable of full HD resolution.

Same here, the 13" GeChic :) and 1920 x 1080 is the max it can handle. My 15" MBP can only go to 1440 x 900 and that is actually the main reason I have never run the standalone for S6L to be honest... The other S3L has older GeChic that only goes to 1366 x 768 that would actually be my ideal max S3L Venue OS resolution to keep that monitor going.
