Digimax word clock sync

I'm running a Digimax LT as a front end for the 001 and i was wondering if i need to connect any cables to the "word clock" ins and outs on the back of the Digimax or will the two units be able to sync through the optical connection that is already there? Thanks in advance...

I don't have one, but a rep from Sweetwater said here that you MUST use the Digimax LT as the master clock, since the 001 box doesn't have BNC ins/outs. I guess you do this via the ADAT connection.

But I don't see why you couldn't use a S/PDIF to BNC adaptor and use the Digi001's S/PDIF out as a clock source only. They both operate at 75 Ohms.

adat lightpipe contains clock information. Just enable "adat optical in" in PT as your clock source - no need to hook up S/PDIF as well.
