PT 11 Playback Engine Issue
I’m having a minor issue with Pro Tools. When I open Pro Tools I get an error message saying,
“Could not create a new document because Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/151228/ProTools/DFW/MacBuild/../Views/UMenu.MacOS.mm", line 1549.” I click “OK” and it still opens fine. Then (if I didn’t leave the playback engine on ‘Built in Output’) I receive another error when trying to open a session saying that the current playback engine does not support a sample rate of 44.1 kHz. It seems to work out fine. I simply switch the playback engine to ‘Built in Output’ then open the project and it opens fine. Then I switch the playback engine back to my MBox Mini and I am able to work on the session with no problems. My issue is that I’m not sure how to make it to where I don’t have to do all of that. I’m sorry for my ignorance if this seems simple. it didn’t use to do this and I’m not exactly sure as to what caused it to start. The only thing I can kind of trace it to is when I had an external hard drive that was damaged and I needed to get the data retrieved (not sure how that would affect it, but that’s when it seemed to start). Pro Tools Native 11.3.1 Mac OSX 10.10.5 Avid MBox Mini Interface
