Default intel imac usb does not power mbox2 on start up PTLE7.4

I never had this problem running mbox2 on tower (g5) , I need to replug mbox 2 into midi port and then it lights up and is recognized by PRotools le 7.4
Also in the apple midi set up I don't see the Mbox as an input device.
