S3/S4/S6 serial numbers

Is there any resource/contact for checking serial numbers - year of manufacture/ownership status etc for Avid S3/S4/S6? I guess for Avid kit in general but I'm particularly interested in these.

If you've got a friendly dealer, they can pull up info on the S6 (and I suppose the S4) as they need to do that to sell support contracts (and there's generally a lot of info logged and any support work done.) I've had a friendly dealer do that for me before on S6 systems. I'd imagine this is true for the S4 too.

The S3 doesn't have this. And there's definitely no customer-facing system in place to check any of this.

Yeah, thought not. All the people I knew at my friendly dealer have left! I'll ask around.

There is information in some combination of manuals and knowledge base articles that shows the partial serial or part # for each revision of each module, but when going back i could only find the master module info - i’m 100% sure the info about other modules is somewhere on avid.com.

This doesn’t answer exact year or ownership but it’s useful to see how old or new revisions are in the scheme of things..

Yeah, I saw that thanks, it was somewhat helpful. I've found someone at my friendly seller who can answer my questions, which is cool.
