MIDI Learn on Axiom 49 (regular) and MBox Mini PT8

Use of MIDI Learn

I have just created a new session in PT8 with nothing but a click track and an Instrument track. I selected Xpand in the inserts list and it opens in the factory default with channel one as "Beneath the waves". I would like to assign the fader for this channel to slider D9 on my Axiom 49.

a)I right click the slider and a from the menu I can see that it says "Learn MIDI CC" and below that, "Forget MIDI CC 20" This I presume means it is already assigned. I cannot find anything on my keyboard that triggers this control so I tell it to forget it. I then tell it to Learn and move my slider. The fader on the screen moves. All good so far. Right clicking it again says forget MIDI CC7

b)I select the fader of channel two. It is assigned to MIDI CC21. This I cannot trigger either to I tell it to forget it, and then ask it to learn, I move slider D10 on my Axiom and now Slider D10 operates both the fader for expand channel one and two together. Both channels now when right clicked offer you the option of forgetting MIDI CC7.

How do I stop this happening?

You have the faders for both channels on the Axiom assigned to the same CC controller number. Assign them to different controller numbers and then re-do the learn functions in Xpand.
