What is there that the Abbey Road Bundle can upgrade to? I already own Mercury and the SSL bundle also. Not mich else that I'm really interested in.

Not sure I understand your question but the Abbey Road Collection isn't really a bundle like Mercury - it's a collection of individual plugins. WUP doesn't give you any new plugins in that series that may come out - you have to buy them separately.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but when a new Abbey Road plugin comes out don't you have the option to upgrade your existing Abbey Road plugins to the full bundle?

I think I remember that is how I bought it...but it was really cheap since it only added one plugin.

Maybe the OP has the bundle, and reupping WUP for all of them is more than the bundle?

Just to confirm what the OP said, I checked my Waves account and my Abbey Road bundle/plugins expire soon and to WUP them all (not counting Abbey Road Studio 3 since its not in the bundle for some weird reason)

My WUP price is $210

The current price for the bundle is $164 and I can get 10% off that or go to AudioDeluxe for $128 or so.

WUP Abbey Road Plugins.jpg

I'll just wait for a new Abbey Road plugin to come out and "upgrade" to the bundle again (assuming I am correct about that)

If I were to WUP all my plugins it comes to over $650!
But I have multiples of many plugins cause it was just cheaper to take advantage of sales than to WUP a bunch of plugins.

ALL WUP price.jpg

I've used Waves plugins for well over 10 years and have NEVER WUP'ed once, I always just upgrade to a new bundle. But once you hit Mercury, WUP is your only choice.

Yep. This is exactly where I am also.

I think I'll just wait and see if they add any more Abbey Road plugins and upgrade when that comes out. If not, then I'll just live with one license.

I have my Waves licenses on a Flash Drive, but I just hate unplugging it and taking it to a different computer. That's another reason I have so many multiples of plugins. I think I have 6 licenses for NX

I understand WUP, and I'm fine with paying for compatibility after several years, but it's almost 2022, and the fact they STILL only give you ONE perpetual license is crazy.

I really wish everyone would switch to the Plugin Alliance method (3 perpetual licenses and you can auth a flash drive) or some kind of Native Instruments system where you can just login to Native Access and you're good to go.

I think the question has been answered but to concur, if you don't have every Abbey Road plugin the cheapest route to get everything WUPed could well be to buy the upgrade to the bundle, which will get you all the current plugins in the bundle and a fresh WUPing. Yes, this does function differently to the other Waves bundles as you will have to purchase new Abbey Road plugins when they appear or another upgrade to the Abbey Road bundle. There used to be the option to upgrade to the AR bundle, even when you had all the plugins I thought but I am not seeing that at all now. In my own case I own all the AR plugins and duplicates of in some case, but I am not seeing any upgrade option at all.

With Waves, as with every else you need to look at all the options if you want to save money, plugins vs. bundles, WUP vs. upgrades etc. In my experience bundles and upgrades are often the way to go. In similar fashion, look at the costs from Waves vs. a dealer. AudioDeluxe is pretty excellent and might save you money, especially if you decide to WUP.

You get a second if you are in WUP, but agreed a second permanent license would seem fair.

Final thing on the Abbey Road Bundle upgrade, I am seeing upgrade to bundles I already own so maybe the AR upgrade option omission is a conscious thing from Waves? Worth checking with their sales people or a dealer what the situation is.

Here's another worth checking, especially for subscription haters like myself

https://www.audiodeluxe.com/products...suite-classics

Looks great value and priced to sell (apparently they ran out of serial numbers at a dealer and had to get more).

Personally, I tried it in earnest earlier this year and didn't like the tone. I found everything too bright and thin? Still, check it out as this offer is a first for this plugin from Slate.

No option to upgrade the bundle when a new plugin comes out because the AR Collection is not a true bundle in the same vein as say Mercury.
