You definitely don’t want that SiS chipset for a Digi001.

Thanks...

What about the ABIT KN8 NVIDIA Socket 939 ATX Motherboard?

I'm thinking about this computer...

I see that you're probably even more familiar with that type since you work with something like it.

Hi ILLESS-

You'd have a better chance with that chipset, but I can't give you a definitive answer as to what current systems will work with the 001. Official compatibility testing is no longer done and I don't use the 001 as my primary DAW anymore.

Your best bet is to follow the logic in this thread:
Up to date working configuration - Digi 001

There are users here who are running the 001 on more current systems. I'm not one of them.
Hopefully they will submit their working systems. Outside of that, I can only steer you in the direction of proven systems two plus years ago. AMD or VIA chipsets... NO SiS or ALI chips, etc..

As I said, a system based on the NVIDIA chipset may work.
I just can't tell you for sure.

Good luck in your search.

Thanks JMS40

Can I get a few more opinions about buying this PC for use with a digi 001?

I need to stick with the digi 001 for the 8 inputs.
