Sound Design II vs 2.4 too old?
I am still using SD-II version 2.4. There are probably not many of around anymore. Can anyone list for me the compelling reasons to upgrade? If I need to upgrade what is currently recommended for use with a Mac? Thanks.

SD2 is the greatest 2 track editing software available except it isnt being upgraded any more and is end of life. the upgrade to 2.83 will allow you to run it on os9 machines.

Re: Sound Design II vs 2.4 too old?
I loved SDII also, but switched to Bias Peak a few years ago. Peak is very similar in operation to SDII, although it has many more features.
You can create regions, playlists with crossfades, and apply destructive processing just like SDII, but in addition you can burn CD's from your playlists, apply non-destructive processing to your tracks, use multi-level undo, etc. You can download a free demo from www.bias-inc.com Good luck, Jeff D. |
