Default 9128 errors - please help :(

This problem is killing me!

I'm running Pro Tools 8 LE on a iMac Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz with 2gb of RAM.

Adding one plugin (any one at all!) and hitting play instantly brings up a 9128 error. I've optimised every possible thing i can think of to stop it happening - but it still does!

Watching activity monitor shows c.90% idle in the processor, so no issue there, and at least half a gb of free RAM.

I'm totally at the end of tether with this. I've no idea how to stop it happening.

Any advice would be MOST welcome!! Thanks in advance
