Default Waves Gold Bundle

Anyone used these Waves plug-ins? Are they worth the $900 price tag?

I need a pro-sounding reverb/delay and compressor/limiter. I've heard good things but want to try and get more input before I spend that much money.

I have the Gold Bundle - it's good stuff. BUT, be sure to read all their policies closely before you buy. Specifically, their policy on transfer of the license, the Waves Update Plan (WUP), and how they handle iLock. Search this forum for WUP and you'll find horror stories.

I don't expect I'll be giving them any more of my money.

THIS is a really hard Q to answer... Do you really want to get into the "claws" of Waves?

IF what you want is a reverb/delay and a compressor - I think you would be better off with a TC or Lexicon lowend reverb run via the S/PDIF and PSP Vintage Warmer...

IF I would buy a Waves-bundle today I would go for the Broadcast&Production (but that costs a lot more...)

WHAT do I use from the Gold-bundle - mainly the S1 stereo widener and C4 multiband compressor, sometimes the RenEQ but far less then I used to. L1 is a little outdated nowadays ans so is the De-esser.

Waves reverbs really suck. But I love their Ren Compressor, ren EQ, and S1.

I tend to disagree about Waves verbs. I like RVerb quite alot, and use it as much as I use my Altiverb or IR-1 (another Waves reverb that far from sucks).
